WHAT IS Clove?
Cloves are native to Indonesia and Madagascar and occur naturally as the unopened pink flower buds of evergreen trees. Cloves contain significant amounts of an active ingredient called eugenol, which has made them the subject of numerous health studies, including studies on the prevention of environmental toxins such as carbon tetrachloride and joint inflammation. Cloves are often used to prevent the overgrowth of bacteria and pathogens.
