A high quality CoQ10 dietary supplement, providing 100 mg of the ubiquinone form of CoQ10. Ubiquinone is the oxidized form of CoQ10 and has been on the market much longer than the reduced form of CoQ10, ubiquinol.
WHAT IS COQ10?
Coenzyme Q10, commonly known as CoQ10, is closely involved in the metabolic processes that convert glucose into energy that powers every process in the body. This is why it is so abundant in muscle tissue, with heart muscle having the highest concentration of CoQ10.
UBIQUINONE VS UBIQUINOL
There are two different forms of CoQ10. Ubiquinol and ubiquinone. Both offer the same uses in the body. Ubiquinone, the form we use in our supplements, is an oxidized form of CoQ10 that has been used in supplements for much longer than Ubiquinol. This means that most studies are conducted using this form, which is used in cellular energy and ATP metabolism.
Ubiquinol must be converted to ubiquinone in order to be absorbed in the intestines. It then goes back and forth several times, sometimes in less than a second, to best perform its function depending on where it is in the body; blood, lymph, or mitochondria. That's why we use ubiquinone in our CoQ10 product.
100% BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING
Our packaging is made from natural plant materials, making it 100% biodegradable. This means our packaging will feel right at home in the compost bin. Our lids are not yet compostable, but they are recyclable, check with your local recycling office. Our supplements are also made from 100% renewable energy.
FILLERS FREE
Our supplements are in vegetable cellulose capsules. This allows us to offer a supplement that does not require excipients, binders, or unnatural fillers. Vegetable cellulose capsules are specially designed to naturally break down in your stomach acid, ensuring the nutrients are absorbed during digestion.
