Our highly potent vitamin B1 supplement provides 500 mg of pure thiamine hydrochloride in our signature vegetable capsules. Two forms of thiamine are commonly used in vitamin B1 supplements - thiamine hydrochloride and thiamine mononitrate. Both are synthetic, however, thiamine hydrochloride (HCl) is water soluble, unlike thiamine mononitrate, making it much more effective because it is more easily absorbed by the body. While we use thiamine hydrochloride in our supplements, many other supplements on the market do not use it because it is more time-consuming and difficult to manufacture.
WHAT IS VITAMIN B1 (THIAMIN)?
Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is the first numbered member of the B vitamin family. B1 is found in many foods including yeast, cereal grains, beans, nuts, and meat. It is often used in combination with other B vitamins.
WHAT DOES VITAMIN B1 DO?
Vitamin B1 contributes to a healthy diet in many ways. Vitamin B1 contributes to the normal function of the nervous system, heart, normal psychological function and normal energy-yielding metabolism.
