Our dietary supplement SOD Plus provides high-quality superoxide dismutase in our signature vegetable cellulose capsules. We have blended our SOD with zinc, manganese and copper to create a powerful antioxidant supplement.
WHAT IS SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE (SOD)?
Free radicals are naturally produced by our bodies when exposed to harmful environmental toxins such as cigarette smoke, pollution, household chemicals and highly processed foods. These free radicals can cause damage to our cells in a process known as “oxidative stress”.
One type of free radical created in the body is called “superoxide”. To minimize the damage caused by this free radical, our body produces an enzyme called “superoxide dismutase.”
Our formula contains the minerals manganese, zinc and copper, which contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and act as precursors to SOD variations.
High levels of the superoxide radical can disrupt the production of glutathione, often referred to as “the body’s master antioxidant.” For this reason, we have included (reduced) l-glutathione in our formula.
WHAT DOES SOD PLUS DO?
Our SOD Plus formula can support a healthy diet in many ways. This formula is a highly effective antioxidant blend containing zinc, magnesium and copper, all of which contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
