Hericium erinaceus in Czech Hericium erinaceus in Czech Hericium erinaceus is edible, very tasty, highly valued both in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and in modern clinical practice. Some sources indicate that it has been consumed in China since the Shang Dynasty. In China, it is considered not only an excellent edible mushroom, but also an important medicinal mushroom.

It grows mainly in rotting wood or in injured areas of old beech and oak trees, or on lying logs. The entire fruiting body is initially white, later gradually turns pink or yellow, until it acquires a rusty brown color. On the surface grow 2-5 cm long white fringed fringes, which densely cover the entire body - that is why it is called Lion's Mane in some Asian countries. It has a rich and pleasant aroma. It grows very rarely in Europe. In the Czech Republic, for example in the Beskydy Mountains, it is protected.

Hericium – Lion's Mane usage:

First week: 1 capsule in the morning about 20 minutes before breakfast.
From the second week: 1 capsule in the morning about 20 minutes before breakfast and 1 capsule in the afternoon between meals.

The capsules are best taken with lukewarm or warm liquid.
