LaDrôme BIO Propolis spray for throat and mouth
This mouth and throat spray optimally combines the benefits of the beehive (honey and propolis) with ORGANIC plant extracts. Echinacea, sage and thyme have a soothing effect on the throat. Plantain and calendula support optimal oral hygiene.
What is the origin of propolis?
Propolis is a sticky, waxy substance that bees create from resin obtained from tree buds (mainly poplar, birch, elder, willow, linden and conifers).
The bees process this resin with their salivary enzymes, mix it with beeswax and pollen, resulting in a golden brown to reddish brown substance, propolis.
Propolis is hard and brittle at low temperatures, softens above 30 °C and melts around 60-70 °C. The word propolis is of Greek origin and means "suburb", which indeed suggests a protective barrier.
Bees use propolis to seal cracks and holes in the hive, strengthen and keep larval cells free of microbes, ensure a constant optimal temperature, and protect the bee colony from the penetration of microbes, insects, and foreign substances.
Propolis dates back to the time of the Egyptians, who used it in embalming the dead. The Incas knew propolis primarily for its soothing effects on the respiratory tract. The Greek philosopher Aristotle used it to support the healing properties of the skin.
Ingredients:
Water, honey* (13%), wheat syrup* (guaranteed gluten-free), vegetable glycerin, hydroalcoholic extracts of propolis*, sage* (Salvia officinalis), echinacea* (Echinacea purpurea), thyme* (Thymus vulgaris), plantain* (Plantago lanceolata), marigold* (Calendula officinalis).

Usage:
Shake well before use.
Spray 2 to 4 times a day in the mouth and throat.
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
