What is a Turmeric Latte?
The herbal drink based on turmeric is also known as "golden milk". It is an ancient Ayurvedic recipe that is now gaining popularity in the Netherlands. Golden milk is a delicious drink made from various herbs and spices.

What are the health benefits of a Turmeric Latte?
The main ingredient in this latte is turmeric. Turmeric supports healthy digestion*, stimulates appetite* and keeps joints flexible*. It is also an antioxidant and helps maintain healthy skin.

Other spices in the blend include cinnamon, cumin, cloves, coriander, ginger, anise and allspice.

Creamy, sweet taste
The addition of powdered coconut milk gives the latte a nice creamy texture when stirred. The addition of coconut blossom sugar also provides a slightly sweeter taste than the unsweetened Turmeric Latte. Coconut blossom sugar is a sugar with a glycemic index of 35. The glycemic index (GI) indicates the speed at which carbohydrates are digested in the intestines and absorbed into the blood as glucose. The lower the GI, the less impact it has on blood sugar levels.

Recommended dosage:
Per cup: Dissolve 2 teaspoons (6 g) of powder and an optional teaspoon of (coconut) oil in warm water or (plant-based) milk, add the remaining warm liquid. For an extra creamy latte, it can also be blended in a blender. If desired, a sweetener can be added, such as honey, coconut syrup or coconut blossom sugar.
