Matcha is a green tea made from the young leaves of the Camellia sinensis tea plant. It is a traditional Japanese tea powder used in tea ceremonies and is increasingly popular as an ingredient in various foods and beverages around the world. Matcha is the only tea variety where the whole tea leaf is drunk in powder form.

The finest and whole leaves are destemmed and slowly ground into a fine, bright green tea powder. The shade-grown process gives matcha its bright green color and unique flavor profile.

How to use matcha powder?

The high chlorophyll and theanine content in matcha gives matcha powder a unique, full, aromatic flavor. The distinct umami flavor is vegetal and slightly bitter. Matcha powder can be used to make tea, cocktails, cakes, matcha lattes or face masks, among other things.

What are the health benefits of Matcha powder?

Matcha is known for its high content of antioxidants, caffeine and L-theanine. Matcha is also rich in vitamin C, which contributes to normal mental function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Recommended dosage:

Whisk 1-2 tablespoons of Matcha powder with water at a temperature of 60-70 °C until a frothy green liquid forms. Never whisk for more than 30 seconds to avoid the tea becoming bitter. Or blend 1-2 tablespoons of Matcha powder with fruit juice in a smoothie. Contains caffeine, not suitable for children and pregnant women. This product is not a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry and sealed container.
