What is magnesium?

What is magnesium malate?
Magnesium malate is the binding of the mineral magnesium to the organic malic acid. Malic acid can be used in the citric acid cycle, which contributes to the formation of ATP (energy). This organically bound form of magnesium is better absorbed than inorganically bound forms of magnesium, such as magnesium oxide or magnesium sulfate. In addition, its binding to malic acid reduces gastrointestinal discomfort.
