What is creatine?
Creatine is a protein formed in the liver from the amino acids arginine, methionine and glycine. The liver produces about 2-3 g of creatine per day. It is also found in small amounts in foods, such as red meat.

Creatine deficiency usually does not manifest itself quickly, but in some cases (e.g. during intense strength training) its supplementation may be necessary.

What does creatine do in the body?
Creatine is stored mainly in the muscles and is quickly available for energy production during intense training. Creatine can increase performance depending on the amount of creatine available in the muscles. A beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine.
