Caprylic acid (C8) is one of the MCT fatty acids. MCT stands for medium chain. Triglyceride is a type of fatty acid and Medium-Chain means that the fatty acids have a medium-long chain. Mattisson C8 MCT oil is made from 100% coconut oil and contains 99% caprylic acid. You can replace other oils and fats with MCT oil. MCT oil has a neutral taste and is suitable for use both cold and hot.

While long-chain fatty acids first pass through the lymphatic system before being absorbed, medium-chain fatty acids (MCT fats) are absorbed directly into the blood via the intestines. MCT fats are therefore available as nutrients more quickly than long-chain fatty acids. The body can quickly use this energy.

Recommended dosage:

MCT oil has a neutral taste and can be used both cold and hot as a replacement for other oils and fats. When cooking, baking and frying, heat MCT oil to a maximum of 177 degrees Celsius. Possible sedimentation is normal.
