Algae are microscopic plants at the very end of the food chain that produce their own omega 3 fatty acids. This makes them the primary source of the omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA. Fatty fish such as herring and sardines are rich in omega 3 because they feed on algae.

Vegan Algae Oil is a dietary supplement with omega 3 from sustainably grown algae. The algae fermentation process takes place in a closed, clean environment. This makes the algal oil free from contamination.

The older the oil, the higher the TOTOX value. The European directive sets the maximum TOTOX value at 26. Our algae oil has a TOTOX value of <6.

The reaction to TOTOX can vary from person to person: some people are not affected by high TOTOX values, while others suffer from burping even at low TOTOX values.

Some brands use chemicals to reduce and keep the TOTOX value of algae or fish oil low. Our capsules do not contain these chemicals.
