Nature's Answer Wild Yam

Nature’s Answer Wild Yam is a dietary supplement containing wild yam root extract (Dioscorea villosa). Each capsule contains 220 mg of wild yam extract, and the package contains a total of 60 vegetarian capsules. Wild yam is known for its possible effects in supporting hormonal balance during menopause.

The plant that produces Wild Yam ( Dioscorea spp.) is a vine that has blade- or heart-shaped leaves. It is widely distributed and grows in the Midwestern and Eastern United States, Mexico, and Asia. There are several different species. The large root or tuber is used as food and medicine in many parts of the world. It is important to note that the name “sweet potato” is often confusing because this plant is not the same as sweet potatoes. Native cultures often turn to wild yam to help balance female hormones.*
