Chitosan is a polysaccharide derived from shellfish shells that can bind to fat and cholesterol in the digestive tract, helping to maintain cholesterol levels within a healthy range. NOW® Chitosan contains LipoSan ULTRA®, a unique, high-density form of chitosan that has been shown to bind up to five times more fat than regular chitosan in laboratory tests. A clinical study has shown that LipoSan ULTRA® may help support a healthy body weight. Chromium, a mineral important for normal glucose metabolism, has been added to complete this formula.
Suggested Use
Take 3 capsules immediately before 2 main meals of the day. Do not exceed 6 capsules daily. Use as part of a healthy diet and exercise program. Take at least 4 hours before or after fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) or medications.
