Baobab is a tree widely distributed in the savannahs and drier areas of Africa, it is also called the monkey-breed tree. It reaches a height of twenty meters and has been an important source of nutrients for humans for a long time. The fruits are collected with minimal impact on the environment, the hard outer shell is broken by cracking and the contents are then removed.
Baobab is full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. It contains 6x more vitamins than oranges, 6x more antioxidants than blackcurrants, 2x more antioxidants than goji berries, 2x more calcium than milk, 6x more potassium than bananas, more iron than red meat and more fiber than apples, apricots and bananas.
It is very nutritious, quickly provides a feeling of satisfaction, is often used as part of a low-calorie diet. A suitable supplement for sports nutrition or for periods of fatigue. It has a slightly spicy taste with traces of caramel and grapefruit. Ideal for dissolving in water, fruit juice, smoothies, with yogurt or breakfast cereals.
