Shiitake mushrooms have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 2000 years. They are a symbol of health and longevity. The word “shii” comes from the Japanese term for a type of oak tree that grows in the southern part of the Japanese islands, where Shiitake most often grows. “Take” means mushroom in Japanese. This type of mushroom has a round brown cap with a diameter of 2-6 cm. The Latin name for Shiitake is Lentinula edodes.

Shiitake contains a whole range of phytonutrients with beneficial effects for the human body. In Shiitake, this is especially true for a unique series of beta-glucans, lentinan and laminarin. The cholesterol-lowering substance eritadenine or lentinacin, or a substance similar to amino acids – ergothioneine. Furthermore, Shiitake is literally loaded with conventional nutrients. It is a rich source of copper, selenium and pantothenic acid. It also contains a relatively large amount of vitamin B2, zinc, manganese, vitamin B6, niacin, choline, vitamin D and iron.

Shiitake - use:
First week: 1 capsule in the morning about 20 minutes before breakfast.
From the second week: 1 capsule in the morning about 20 minutes before breakfast and 1 capsule in the afternoon between meals.

The capsules are best taken with lukewarm or warm liquid.
