Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a native shrub that grows in parts of Africa and Asia. It is also called Indian ginseng because the adaptogenic properties of ashwagandha are very similar to ginseng. Ashwagandha has had an important place in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries.
These capsules contain 5% withalanoids. These are the main active ingredients in ashwagandha. It is an 8:1 extract, which means that 8 grams of pure ashwagandha powder are used to produce 1 gram of ashwagandha extract.
