Freeze-dried blackcurrants are a distinctive, slightly sour snack that retains all the valuable properties of fresh fruit. Thanks to the freeze-drying process, the currants retain their color, aroma and nutritional value - and are light and crunchy.

BLACKCURRANT - freeze-dried, whole freeze-dried fruit, 50 g.

Ingredients: 100% freeze-dried blackcurrants. Allergen-free. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Store in a dry place at room temperature. Prevent air from entering using a zip lock.

Approximately 800 g of fresh blackcurrants were used for 100 g of freeze-dried blackcurrants.

The availability of individual types of freeze-dried fruit depends on the harvest and seasonality. Therefore, it may happen that some variants will not always be available.

What is the process of freeze-drying fruit?

Freeze-drying is a modern method of food preservation that allows to preserve the full taste, aroma and nutritional value of fruit. This process consists of removing water by sublimation, i.e. the direct transition of ice to water vapor without a liquid phase. Thanks to this, the fruit retains its valuable properties, natural structure and almost unchanged appearance.

Freeze drying stage:

1️⃣ Freezing – the fruit is quickly frozen to a very low temperature (up to -50 °C), which stops biological processes and the decomposition of nutrients.

2️⃣ Sublimation (first drying) – in a vacuum, ice passes directly into a gaseous state, which allows up to 98-99% of water to be removed.

3️⃣ Further drying (second drying) – the last traces of moisture are removed, which ensures a long shelf life of the product without the need for preservatives.

Energy value: 375 kcal / 1568 kJ (187.5 kcal / 784 kJ).
Fats: 3.6 g (1.8 g), of which saturated fatty acids: 0.9 g (0.45 g).
Carbohydrates: 77.6 g (38.8 g), of which sugars: 32 g (16 g).
Proteins: 6.8 g (3.4 g).
Salt: 0.035 g (0.018 g).
