Unsaturated fatty acids are one of the pillars of proper nutrition with a balanced intake of micronutrients. In the body, they are especially important for the brain - it consists of approximately 40%, the nervous system - approximately 50% of nerve membranes are made up of unsaturated fatty acids, specifically DHA.
The ratio in which we consume unsaturated fatty acids is very important. It should be around 1:4 to 1:5 (omega 3:omega 6/9). Sometimes even 1:2 is stated. Unfortunately, the current ratio in the diet is 1:15 to 1:20. Viridikid 100% Organic Omega Oil therefore contains 51% omega-3, 26% omega-6 and 16% omega-9.
Another advantage, especially for children, is its exclusively plant-based composition. Omega-3 can be supplemented very effectively from high-quality fish oil, but this often has a taste problem in children. However, Viridikid Oil is prepared from seeds (linseed, pumpkin and hemp) and is flavored with vanilla and orange oil. That is why it tastes great.
