What is it made of?

The body of the toothbrush is made from bamboo stems. Thick bamboo is cut into prisms, left to dry, and then toothbrush bodies are milled from them. The brush bodies are then fitted with bristles.
The "extra soft" bristles are among the best on the world market. They are made of first-class nylon and are gentle on teeth and gums.
There are also compostable bristles, but unfortunately they are too hard and irritate the gums. That's why we use extra soft nylon bristles. We have not yet been able to find a 100% fully compostable substitute for the production of bristles that would be as soft and gentle as the nylon bristles we use. As soon as we discover such a substitute and are sure that "it's exactly the same", we will include it in our offer.

How should I recycle it when the toothbrush "ends its life"?

Simple: You break off the head of the brush with the bristles and throw it in the mixed waste. You can safely throw the body of the brush made of bamboo into the compostable waste. If you throw the whole thing in the mixed waste, after a while only the bristles will remain. The rest of the bamboo will decompose.
The main ecological benefit of our bamboo toothbrushes is more than 96% plastic savings compared to classic plastic toothbrushes.
